I-83 East Shore Section 3

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 8-0, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, have prepared the Environmental Assessment document for the project. The public may review the document and provide comments from Friday, November 18, 2022 through Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

How can I review the documents and provide written comments? 

The EA and supporting technical files are now (11/18/2022) available for public review on this website.

The EA is also available for review during normal business hours at the following local government offices (except as noted):

Written comments concerning the EA must be received by 5:00 PM EST on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Comments can be submitted electronically via the website by using the link below or by downloading a comment form and mailing the completed form to:

All comments received during the designated comment period will be considered. These comments will become part of the public record associated with this action.

Interested parties may request a public hearing in order to present testimony concerning the project and the major design features, and the social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed project. Requests for a public hearing must be made in writing to:

A request for a Public Hearing must be received by 5:00 PM EST Monday, December 5, 2022. A Public Hearing will be scheduled only if two or more individuals/groups request a hearing and the concerns on environmental grounds cannot be addressed without a hearing. If the interested party's concerns can be resolved, a hearing will not be necessary.
